Tema Propane Terminal
This is a 30,000 cubic meter storage facility made up of Six (6) spheres. The project is being executed in 2 phases.
Phase one is made up of 3 spheres totaling 13,600 cubic meters, a 9 kilometer 12inch propane rated pipeline from the Tema jetty through the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) to the Terminal, vapour recovery system, fire fighting system, pumps and pipeline to the power plant. This phase was commisioned in March 2020.
Phase two will see the addition of 3 spheres, adding a capacity of 18,000 cubic meters to the total storage capacity.
The facility will also store propane to power the 400MW Power Plant under construction about 400 meters away from the facility. The Group is a co-developer and sponsor together with US based firms GE & Endeavor.
